Check out this thread I quickly did a search but won't be able to check anything else until tomorrow afternoon. 2 osCMax-2.0RC2 issues

I found the solution to my error message:
2 osCMax-2.0RC2 issues
I did notice that if I went to edit the credit card number under the order in the admin and then re-saved the order the cc number was no longer encrypted on the server. Is this correct? Is there a way to encrypt after an edit?
Also, I'd still like to know how to determine which RC of oscmax I'm using.
Thanks,
Barb
Just found it. I was using "Current Version: osCMax v2.0 RC3" when my error happened.

Yes, that was the solution that I posted above for you. And no if you edit it will not encrypt the card. The point of the contribution is to have it encrypted when your customer makes an order and it comes to you so you can get the card number then it is imperative that you delete it once you process the order this is for security and the rules by the credit card companies about storing credit cards and cvv codes in your database. I do not know why you would have to edit since if your customer made a change you would keep the number at your store and run it. You would not want to put it online since the point is to delete it.
I understand your point. I was just testing the contribution to see how things worked and I wanted to make sure it was doing everything the way it should. Thanks for the great contribution.

I installed this in my test environment last night and now am installing it on a client site. On the "test" site I could click on order details and see the cvv code. If I click on order details on the client site, I don't see the cvv code displayed on the screen. I'm guessing this is just a mistype on my part, but I can't determine which file I should look in to find where I miss typed. Which file should I be looking at for my error?
Thanks,
Barb
Super busy today but if you use a program like beyond compare and compare your test site files to your client files your error will jump out at you and it can be done quickly.![]()
I got it fixed!
