    Default social media connect

    Is there any out of the box, addon/mod for oscmax which would allow visitors to login to my store via facebook or twitter? or at least a follow us and like us on facebook type module.

    Remove all instances of http://www.oscmax.com/forums/ which the forum decides in its' wisdom to add, even though encased in PHP code. Grrr.

    Usable, with just a little bit of reading the wiki.

    So i created this

    Code:
    <!-- follow_us //-->
    <?php
    $boxHeading = 'Follow Us';

    $corner_top_left = 'rounded';
    $corner_top_right = 'rounded';
    $corner_bottom_left = 'rounded';
    $corner_bottom_right = 'rounded';
    $box_base_name = 'Follow Us'; // for easy unique box template setup (added BTSv1.2)
    $box_id = $box_base_name . 'Box';  // for CSS styling paulm (editted BTSv1.2)

    $info_box_contents = array();
    $info_box_contents[] = array('align' => 'left', 'text'  => BOX_HEADING_FOLLOW_US);

    new infoBoxHeading($info_box_contents, false, false);

    $info_box_contents = array();
    $info_box_contents[] = array('align' => 'center', 'text'  => '<a href="http://twitter.com/xxxx/" target="_blank"><img alt="Twitter" src="twitter.jpg" border=0> </a>'.

    '<a href="http://www.linkedin.com/pub/xxxx/xxx/xxx/xxx" target="_blank"><img alt="Linkedin" src="linkedin.jpg" border=0> </a><br>'.
    '<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/xxx/" target="_blank"><img alt="Flickr" src="flickr.jpg" border=0> </a>'.
    '<a href="http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=xxxxxxxxxxxxx" target="_blank"><img alt="Facebook"  src="facebook.jpg" border=0> </a>'
    );
    new infoBox($info_box_contents);

    include (bts_select('boxes', $box_base_name)); // BTS 1.5
    ?>
    <!-- follow_us_eof //-->
    and it shows up on my site, but it seems to be interferring with my whats new box, there are now 2 boxes, 1 with heading BOX_HEADING_FOLLOW_US and shows the 4 pictures, the box below that shows heading follow us but shows the same content from whats new box

    if you go to Jewels of Magnetic Therapy : on the right side you will see what im referring to

    you will see 2 boxes, 1 labelled
    BOX_HEADING_FOLLOW_US
    with 3 social media icons
    and a 2nd box below that called Follow Us

    which is the same box as What's New? box

    some reason its not putting Follow Us in the header for BOX_HEADING_FOLLOW_US

    and its created a whole new box called follow us but with the whats new content.

    Anywhere YOU_SEE_TEXT_IN_UPPERCASE means that you have not defined something in the language files.

    BOX_HEADING_FOLLOW_US needs defining in your language files or simply hard coding if you are only using english.

    If it is wiping the box below then the variable used is not being reset by the second infobox. (Which may be a bug ...)

    Try defining BOX_HEADING_FOLLOW_US in catalog/includes/languages/english/core.php and see what happens.

    ok ty that did fix the header BOX_HEADING_FOLLOW_US to now show the proper heading, but why does it still show a 2nd box there below the Follow Us box ?

    with the whats new content, i want that box gone.
    I only created 1 infobox via admin area.
    and under includes/boxes/ i created follow_us.php with the following code

    Code:
    <!-- follow_us //-->
    <?php
    $boxHeading = 'Follow Us';

    $corner_top_left = 'rounded';
    $corner_top_right = 'rounded';
    $corner_bottom_left = 'rounded';
    $corner_bottom_right = 'rounded';
    $box_base_name = 'Follow Us'; // for easy unique box template setup (added BTSv1.2)
    $box_id = $box_base_name . 'Box';  // for CSS styling paulm (editted BTSv1.2)

    $info_box_contents = array();
    $info_box_contents[] = array('align' => 'left', 'text'  => BOX_HEADING_FOLLOW_US);

    new infoBoxHeading($info_box_contents, false, false);

    $info_box_contents = array();
    $info_box_contents[] = array('align' => 'center', 'text'  => '<a href="http://twitter.com/JewelMagTherapy/" target="_blank"><img alt="Twitter" src="http://www.jewelsofmagnetictherapy.com/images/social/tw.jpg" length="40" width="40" border=0> </a>'.
    '<a href="http://ca.linkedin.com/pub/shirley-nugent/2a/737/351" target="_blank"><img alt="Linkedin" src="http://www.jewelsofmagnetictherapy.com/images/social/linkedin.jpg" length="40" width="40" border=0> </a><br>'.
    '<a href="http://www.facebook.com/pages/Jewels-of-Magnetic-Therapy/114700218577418?sk=wall" target="_blank"><img alt="Facebook"  src="http://www.jewelsofmagnetictherapy.com/images/social/fb.jpg" length="40" width="40" border=0> </a>'
    );
    new infoBox($info_box_contents);

    include (bts_select('boxes', $box_base_name)); // BTS 1.5
    ?>
    <!-- follow_us_eof //-->
    2 boxes always appear, if i delete that file then both boxes disappear
    so what in the code is wrong?

    I have had a look through the page source of your site and it would appear that you have managed to get the second Whats New (Titled Follow Us) to be outside the right hand column container.

    Have you hard coded this box in somewhere in main_page.tpl.php or added it somewhere else?

    Try using the infobox controller to switch both boxes to the left hand column and see if the second box remains on the right ...

    Regards.
