Hi

The install went fine ..wow !!

But I get ERROR_FILE_NOT_WRITEABLE when I try to define main page in the amdin area

I am sure all chmods have been done correctly ..but what have I missed ?

ALSO - where can I get info on the template editing ?

Thanks

Help, you're speaking Greek to me. Where do I put this code to make it work????

Not Greek, Linux :nerd:

You need to use a FTP client, connect to your hosting account with it, and then navigate to the this file:

/includes/languages/english/mainpage.php

and using your ftp client, modify the permissions on the file to 777. Usually you just right click the file, find the Permissions or CHMOD option and then change it to 777.

The 777 permission will make it writable and the error will go away and it will accept your changes.

Oh, if you don't understand 777, that just means to set all 3 permissions as writeable.
