View Full Version : Using different dbase name

I have uploaded MAX2 and created a dbase with the name 'starlite' with users etc. okay.

On the 1st stage of the Install prog I am asked the Dbase Server which I have used localhost, the User which is webmaster and dbase and the dbase name of 'starlite'.

I assume I enter the name of the new dbase 'starlite' I have created, NOT oscommerce.sql or ms2-max.sql ?

So I can get the tables into that new dbase, do I have to change one of those sql files to starlite or will phpMyA find them and import them to starlite?

I am getting a message..

Access denied for user: '[email protected]' (Using password: YES)

Elementary I know, but my brain has gone into neutral last couple of cold mornings..

ozstar, the installer uses the ms2-max.sql file to populate your database and does not care what the name of that db is.

Your probem is your login to the db is failing. You are using the wrong username or password.

The error Access denied for user: '[email protected]' (Using password: YES) is telling you that you are not using the right username password combo...
