Niallb - I have pm'd you but I have had another thought ... Are you sure that you uploaded the files into the correct folder? If you have renamed your admin folder (as you should have done) then make sure you upload the admin changes into your new admin folder - otherwise the upgrade script will not be there to run!

    Regards.

So you have set the enable = true. Put the button code (only the top between the two divs in the button code setting and finally added the single javascript line in? It works fine for me - so can you provide more detail? Regards.

Your database has been fully upgraded. Please complete your upgrade by uploading the osCmax v2.5.0 files now.

I had expected it to say v2.5.1 or at least v2.5.0 PL1 like the admin shows

i am guessing that your store has a custom admin directory name. You have to rename the admin dir in the upgrade package to match or the updates will not upload to your custom admin directory.

Your problem is just that you didnt upload the new admin files to your actual admin directory.

You're bang on. After PGM's suggestion I went back and removed the new files (which I had uploaded into catalog.
I have now reloaded each file 1 at a time into its correct folder and all is working.
For future ref, am I right thinking I shouldnt have uploaded the entire zip file and then unzipped it as this just created duplicate files and folders.
    Niall

btw, big thanks to PGM and Michael

Does this mean we leave the old .htaccess file that we amended to suit the seo urls?

    Let me back up here.

The entire purpose of the changes-only upload is so that you can upload in one shot easily, without worrying about it changing anything related to your configuration (.htaccess, configure.php files).

For that specific reason, if we make changes to the configure.php file or the .htaccess file in the changes package they will be labeled as configure.php.new and .htaccess.new. Then all you have to do is compare the two to see what we added and whether or not you want to add it. Makes sense, right?

Regarding uploading the changes-only package, you can get the files on your server however you please. Upload the zip and unzip it, ftp upload, sftp, scp, whatever. It is just up to you to understand the implications of each method and how to translate our FTP upload instructions to each different method.

The instructions still stand, regardless of the method you choose.

Upload the new files making sure to overwrite the existing files. If you changed your admin directory name on your site, obviously the directory name in the changes-only package will need to be changed to match it, or the changes only package will not overwrite your existing osCmax admin files. It really is that simple.

You can upload the whole zip file to your server, unzip it over your osCmax installation, but you will then have to move the new /admin directory that is created and all its contents to your custom named admin directory. If you have a custom directory structure, you need to modify the changes-only package to match that custom structure.

    Thanks for the reply.
By Default the Addthis is set to true, but i have disabled it and enabled it again with no change.
The site has no modifications and the update went through with no problems.

In the button code box i have this.

    <div class="addthis_toolbox addthis_default_style "> <a class="addthis_button_facebook_like" fb:like:layout="button_count"></a> <a class="addthis_button_tweet"></a> <a class="addthis_button_google_plusone" glusone:size="medium"></a> <a class="addthis_counter addthis_pill_style"></a> </div>

and in the java script code box i have this.

    <script type="text/javascript" src="http://s7.addthis.com/js/250/addthis_widget.js#pubid=ra-4f7a1a8625426e88"></script>

I would not that when i go to edit the box the code is not the same. and as an example the java script looks like this in the box.
    &lt;script type=&quot;text/javascript&quot; src=&quot;http://s7.addthis.com/js/250/addthis...lt;/script&gt;
but looks ok on the left of the edit window.
Not sure if this is relevant though?

Do you have an url for your site where this is running ... I just testing this on the demo store and it worked fine ...

Although you appear to have selected the buttons you want rather using the dynamic buttons based on the users social media preferences so that may be a cause.

    Regards.

    Guys,
Update from RC2 to 2.5.1 finally working.
I had a corrupt core.php file that did not diff properly

Issue: The slideshow will initiate to the width I set in the Admin, i.e 640 default, or 500 etc, but on slide change, it defaults back to the orginal image size,
i.e if I have images 700x250, it shows as 700x250, and does nto obey the 640 width.,

This was workign fine all the way from 2.1 to 2.5RC2

    Ideas ?

I just enabled the AddThis feature and it works great. It took about 5 minutes to add including signing up for an AddThis account! Thanks for the feature PGM.

    Check it here:
