Spurred on by 'pgmarshall'... Give instructions for users that have javascript turned off, plus optionally detect the user-agent and warn of, for example spyware.
All kudos to 'pgmarshall' for the instructions on turning on javascript.
Whilst the user-agent feature is not intended as a security measure, it is there to provide the end-user (customer) with some potentially useful information. Obviously it's no substitute for 'proper' security and will only detect 'advertised' browser agents.
If their account gets hacked on your 'Max installation due to 'things' installed on their machine, the customer doesn't necessarily know where the blame lies.
Note: Also relevant for client installations - who can be oblivious to what is installed, then go into Admin. Console with any active keylogger, for example.
If forum members are able to identify 'dodgy' agent so-called helpers, then please list here, with relevant links for further info.
Only just discovered that "eSobiSubscriber" is: "eSobi is RSS feed reader, Document Clipping and Meta search aplication"
might be an idea to remove that one from the list, then
If this facility becomes popular, maybe a re-write will be in order, to make additions easier/more organised. I've tried to keep it simple, to gauge reaction.
Note: I've left some debug code in (the display of the user agent) but not a 'showstopper' and I'll remove on the next update, if any.
