UPS XML not calculating shipping

thats whats showing right now. I did a search on the site and it didnt quite resolve the issue. Unless for some reason the version is outdated or theres some conflicts I cant get the xml to work properly, the other standard ups module does work and calculate fine but i want to use the xml version instead.

Did you sign up with UPS and get the following 3 from UPS?
UPS Rates Access Key
UPS Rates Username
UPS Rates Password

well the thing is, i signed up with ups worldship, would i need to sign up with a regular ups account instead?

You have to get the access key which is different for this to work. You get that from UPS.com, but it's been a while since I did it but it's in the UPS xml instructions.

the access key i have, but the username and pw im not too sure about because with ups worldship i dont think they provide you with one, ill try making a regular ups account then and see what happens

This is different and you'll need to register on UPS.com and then look for
"UPS Online Tools" and you can get the access key there. They won't charge you anything for it. It's been about 3-4 years since I did it but it was pretty simple. The UPS xml module is a great shipping module.

I have a UPS access key with username and password. All my products have weight and my store address is set in the configuration tab. I also wrote in the point of origin requested by the UPSXML module and modified the shipping/packaging page in my admin. Yet I am still getting the same message that MrE03 got above. I'm using the latest version of oscmax, 2.0.3 - please help!

nevermind, my errors tell me that I need an SSL cert to have upsxml work. but all I'm trying to do is test it out from my localhost before its set in an live environment.

Yes, UPSXML requires curl ssl to work. I think you could create a group under customer controls and then make that group the only one to use upsxml and then test from your site.
