Installing Latest PayPal 3Dsecure to OsCMax 2.0.25

Hi there folks I'm trying to merge the files from buildrev1813dsLite to my oscmax store and it's being a real pain.

I was hoping that someone who has got the new (paypal payments pro uk)paypal api 3d secure working on osc 2.0.25 could point me in the right direction for how to cleanly install this package or indeed which package would be better to for me to download.

I will never understand how redirecting a customer to another site (in what looks like a XSS attack) to double authenticate a payment (as does 3D), is more secure! Drives me bloody mad, as a customer, when I come across sites that have implemented it. Got to manually allow NoScript, which means that payment works sometimes, others not.

Shall be interesting to see if anyone responds with a solution... I asked back in January 2010, or thereabouts.

At the minute people can't buy from the online store with the stock paypal oscmax 2.0.25... I have tested it and I can buy there ... but I have watched my customers go round the payment loop 10 times each before giving up

What steps should I take to get it to function ?

My 'Max clients currently use PayPal Standard or IPN, though one with osC uses Dynamo Effects' UK Pro with IPN as a fallback. Another reason for them not switching to 'Max, yet.

Note: I've tried about 3 times to port the DE UK Pro, to no avail. Michael is the guru in these matters, I believe.

At the moment I have the stock oscmax paypal payments pro uk, and I can't get it to work at all. Saying that it works for me ... but not for my clients. I think I should have researched this >,<

I have disabled PayPal Website Payments Pro (UK) Direct Payments as it wont work without 3d secure.

PayPal Website Payments Pro (UK) Express Checkout works for me strangely ... but not for my clients. is there no way to get this option working for everyone ? Or does it work and I've messed something up?


Am I up the creek without a paddle on payments pro UK for OsCmax ?

Ahh very good guide thanks, I have payments standard on it currently. I think that means we have to pay more to paypal though.

Trying to set up IPN now. Looking into private keys and certificates and the trivialities of hosting them now. haha, fun times.

Enable Encrypted Web Payments :: When enabled, the order parameters will be encrypted to be sent to PayPal.
