How to test osCMax transaction with paypal SandBox

Hi there,

I am using Paypal standard for my payment module and I have setup one Paypal Live account and one Paypal SandBox test account.

I want to test the paypal transaction before go live and use paypal test account for testing. However, whenever I check out and re-direct to paypal SandBox URL, it will stop and show the following

Please login to use the PayPal Sandbox features.

Therefore, I can't test the paypal transaction using Test account

However, if I change the OrcMAs paypal standard configuration and point to Paypal live account, it won't stop during check out and it will show the transaction amount on Paypal page.

Would you please help me and tell me how can I test paypal transaction in SandBox?

So click the paypal sandbox link above that you posted and login to your sandbox dev account. Leave that window open. Then open a new browser, go to your store and checkout again. It will then work for you.

Make sure you have set up the paypal module to use the test account address you set up, and be sure to set up a test customer account too.

Thanks for your steps, the steps I was missing is I need to leave the paypal SandBox page to open.

Sorry to bother you again, I am working in Paypal send box and when I finish Paypal and click "Return to Test Store", I've get the following error:

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /mnt/w0106/d07/s29/b026b7e1/www/Webstore/shopcart/catalog/includes/modules/payment/paypal_standard.php on line 471

I am using oscMax and based on some of your thread, I can leave return URL blank in Paypal sand box.

Also, I didn't get the corresponding Order email from shopping cart, i.e. the paypal transaction is completed, but I didn't receive the order detail from the shopping cart.

Any idea how to fix it?

I was about to chase Michael on this one, as I'm aware he's been working on PayPal and the Vouchers side of this. Seems that this hasn't been addressed in the current release. There are a few scattered posts on this issue (I found them yesterday, with search). Basically remove Gift Voucher (CCV?) code in the file in a couple of places - line 471 (from memory) and around about 520. The better solutions seems to be to add and extra 'if' statement, which resolved the issue for me.
You should find the posts, with a search.

The forum keyword search is next to useless (in my experience) but the Google search within 'Max is the way to go:
