USPS Shipping - please help "An error occured with the

I believe I have achieved good level with OSComz and hav customized it very well.
But it is a shame that I am unable to get the USPS module to work for me.
I keep getting the error:
"An error occured with the USPS shipping calculations.
If you prefer to use USPS as your shipping method, please contact the store owner."

I have tried the following combinations:
URL Case.
Full URL/Partial URL registration with USPS.
http and https registration with USPS when it asked me what the store URL was.
Tried upper and lower case of UID/PWD sent to me by USPS.
Country code for US is 223 in the configuration for shipping/packaging. So it the store country.
I guess I have tried several other combinations.
Just cant figure out what else to try.
I got the UPS working, but I want to offer a lower cost by providing USPS option.

I ended up calling USPS at their 800 # from the registration email. That helped. Seems like Test mode doesnt work for some (or may be just an activation issue) and they moved me over to production server and it worked. Following was their eMail confirmation
"Congratulations on completing your testing using the U.S. Postal
Service's Internet Shipping Application Program Interfaces (APIs).
Your profile has been updated to allow you access to the Production Server."
