Adding product image to category link

I've searched both the oscommerce.com site as well as the forums here, but can't seem to find how to add product images to the links that is a result of clicking on the category section on the left. There have been a few posts regarding this, but no replies. Maybe everybody's stumped, or I just can't read. Anybody have any idea?

I'm not quite sure what you're getting at here. Could you provide some more details? Are you trying to add an image for each category within the Categories box? Or are you looking to have images on the list of items within the category? I'm leaning towards the later... Anway, I'll try to help you more once I find out all the details.

Basically, what I would like to do is when a user clicks on the category link, the result will post an image AND the product link. Right now, only a product link is showing. Is that any clearer?

oh, okay! i gotcha! just go into the Admin interface and select Configuration. Then select Product Listing from the menu on the left. Then edit the Display Product Image setting to 1. That should re-enable images for each product in the listing. That should do the trick!
