Able to redeem gift voucher as guest

No the system is fine just the way it is. All that I have suggested is to include instructions on the redeem page itself so that a customer will know what they must do next after they are sent to the redeem page from the link they receive when they receive their gift voucher email.

I guess the easiest fix is to send specific instructions on how to redeem the voucher in the email that is sent to the user, and include the instructions on the redeem page.

That's what I think should take place. But being non skilled in php I don't think I can do this myself.

Although the instructions are a good idea, the fact of the matter is that you have to login or create an account anyway so why bother with the instructions. Just force them to do one or the other.
