Easy populate question

Simple question from somone with little logic
If I have say 100 records in my database (on my site) and I want to update the quantity, cost, fields, if I download the file open in excel (tab limited) adjust the quantity fields with new quantitys save as a tab limited then up load that should then show the new quantity etc on the site? i.e a item that showed in stock prior to download if i change qty to zero will then show as out of stock?
damm I hope that makes sense
next question and last for today
If already have 100 records and I want to add say another 10 can i just add the 10 through easy populate (using the right file) or do i have to relaod the whole database each time ie download 100 upload 110?

question1 - yep that is how it works.

q2 - you should just be able to add the changes.

now when i download the file it looks like this
v_products_model v_products_price v_products_quantity EOREOR
nzms573 17.33 1 EOREOR
when i upload the new data as well as the headings do i have to add the EOREOR heading and response?

EOREOR has to be at the end of every line. You may want to read the EP documentation (download the ep mod from oscommerce.com and read through the docs).
