Default REALLY NEED HELP ON modification

http://paulharris.paulharris.com/cat...65b414c960ee9f

I would hope to achieve this kind of look as of the above link. I hope to make the catagories fixed and the product listings to be 4 products at a time in 2 rolls only. Currently os commerce cart of mine shows the products in one straight line.

Anybody have any idea which file to edit and where?

Thanks.

Default where to begin

Read the OSCdox Guide. This is a good start. In order to make the visual changes, you need to know HTML and PHP pretty good. There is NO easy way to do this. Old fashioned coding is the only way.

This depends on what you are trying to accomplish, and there are always many different ways to solve the same problem. You need to learn what the files do, and how they work.

There are a lot of mods that are fairly easy to hack into your store, check out the contributions section at oscommerce.com for those.
