Default Who's Online Question

I am wondering if Max comes with any improvements to the "Who's Online" feature. On my live OSc v.2.2 shop, I installed a Who's Online v1.9 Contribution which automatically refreshes the screen for you, in intervals of as little as 30 seconds. I like keeping tabs on this screen, so I know where potential customers are coming from on a realtime basis.
Please advise.
Thanks.

I think it is one of those wow-gee-whiz useless features. There is really no benefit to real time tracking like this, unless you are also incorporating a live chat module where you can initiate a chat with the customer. Otherwise, you can get the same information and see trends better by reviewing and analyzing the server logs with a good stats package or google analytics.

My personal feelings aside, there are no improvements to this feature in osCMax, but it should be very easy to add the improvement you are referring to. It should not cause you any problems.

So, it sounds as though the who's online files were unchanged in Max. I just read through the contrib docs, and they want you to replace the three whos online.php files with theirs. There are also two sql entries which need to be made:
ALTER TABLE whos_online ADD http_referer VARCHAR(255) NOT NULL;
ALTER TABLE whos_online ADD user_agent VARCHAR(255) NOT NULL;

I may give it a whirl.
Thanks.
