| I have gotten a little bit further here but this learning curves near vertical.. Taking this in stages..and my next little task is the following: I need to contain the middle section of the catalog within a table - so that i can then insert a custom background image - in line with the layout of the rest of the site. Just to make myself clear, thats everything that normally falls into the center ie. product details when one selects a product, account signup form, cart contents, etc., etc, etc. TAKING THE ABOVE INTO ACCOUNT, my question is this: Q1. Has anybody else done this? Q2. If you have done so, how have you achieved it? Your valued suggestions are appreciated as always |

| Actually, you do this through the stylesheet.css. The center section is already enclosed in a table. All you have to do is edit or create a style with the background set to your image, and attach it to the table that is already there in default.php or whatever page you want the style to display on.

| Well, i got it sorted. Although i edited the stylesheet, i still didnt manage to get it to display the background image...must have fudged the code somewhere. However, I cranked up Dreamweaver and applied the background image via the dreamweaver interface in live data view. Just another little step further Thanks for your help |

| The great thing about osCommerce is that there is ALWAYS more than one way to get the job done! Use all your resources, you will come up with a creative and effective solution. If you are more comfortable working in a visual environment, I suggest getting a visual stylesheet editor like Topstyle pro. It makes getting the look you want almost easy (almost! The other truth about osCommerce is that NOTHING is easy
