Default A Hopefully Simple Question

Hi everybody, I have a quick question that I'm hoping somebody has the simple answer to. When I change domain name to AAbox I got a real simple message and "how to" to point my domain to my index.html, which was a real simple way to have an "Under Construction" page while I rebuilt my website from ASP tp PHP, well now I am ready to go live and I would like to change back to my default.php the problem is that I don't remember how I switch to the index.html in the first place. I have done a search on the subject and have read my eyes red. I found a lot of posts on the subject but I did not see any that comes close to how I initially change it. It was just take simple. What I want to do is just have it so that when someone type in my URL ( www.GiftsUniqueShop.com ) it will just take them to my default.php page. This may sound stupid but does any one have any idea how this can be done without all the redirects and all the files changes? I just don't remember going through all that.

Another question that I do have is that I plan on getting my own SSL from instantSSL and I was wondering, do I just change my https to point to my domain without the aabox in the path?

Thank you in advance for any and all help,
Jose

It is pretty easy to do.

SSH to your account. Then copy all the files from the catalog dir to your document root (public_html) preserving file and directory structure and properties.

Then edit the path in both configure.php files. Remove all references to /catalog in the path statements, making sure not to change anything else. Save both files.

Then test it - go to the new url : http://www.giftsuniqueshop.com/default.php and see if it works correctly. if it does. Check your new admin at http://www.giftsuniqueshop.com/admin/ . If that works smile, you're almost done.

Remove the /catalog dir from your account.

You can do it yourself, or submit a support ticket, and we will do it for you. It really only takes a couple of minutes.

Regarding SSL, when it gets installed, AABox (We!) will update oscommerce to reflect your new SSL url.
