I worked for several days to get the Ohio Sales Tax Contribution from the oscommerce.com website to install without success. Does anyone know if this contribution will work for me: osCommerce: County Sales Tax Modification
I need to be able to charge sales tax for anything shipped to one of the 88 different counties in Ohio but not for anything shipped outside Ohio. If this contribution won't work, does anyone have any other ideas? Can I manually add all 88 counties and their tax rates? If so, how do I go about it? How do I get the customer's county to appear on the create account and checkout pages and on the invoice?
I need help resolving this issue ASAP.
I have imported the Ohio Sales Tax Contribution SQL tables and cannot get the tax to show up correctly in the shopping cart.
Here's what's happening:
In the ADMIN area, under Locations/Taxes, there is the following:
Countries: United States
Zones: All the states
Tax Zones: Folders for all the Ohio Counties. In these folders, when you click on details, there is nothing in them.
Tax Classes: Taxable Goods
Tax Rates: I have all the counties tax rates added and the priority is set at 1.
When I register as a customer, there is no place that asks me for my county and when I proceed to checkout, here's what I get where the tax should be:
+ + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + +
+ + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + +
+ + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + $61.52
+ + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + + +
+ + + + + + + + + + + :
When I give the tax rates each a different priority, it compounds it to more than $3,000 so that's obviously not right!!
What needs to be done so that the users who live in Ohio are prompted to select their county and what do I need to do so that the +++++s are replaced w/ the words Sales Tax (County and Tax %): and computed properly???
CAN ANYONE HELP ME????
