Shopping cart won't empty

Hi, I'm testing my website and I have notice a problem with the checkout process that I'm hoping someone can help me out with. I notice that when I make a purchase, the item purchase still remains on the shopping cart and it will not empty. Also the purchase history and the customer purchase information is not updated in the admin customer tools nor added to pending orders. I am testing on my localhost machine so I don't know if this is the problem, but I'm hoping that someone could tell me what might be causing this problem. Thank you for your time and help

Hi robjms10,
Yes I was able to get it fix. But keep in mind that I was using the verisign credit card processor, so this is how I fix it for my processor and not knowing what processor you are using, I don't know if this will work for you,

1) Make sure that you have everything setup on you website for your processor (verisign)

2) Go to your verisign manager site and and make sure that you have set the return URL to "POST" and than have the return URL set to ......./verisignreturn.php

3) Test, Test, Test

that's all there is to it. Make sure that you do step two that is very important and that you have the return URL pointing back to your verisignreturn.php
