Maybe I'm missing it, but I did look there.

Here is what my email says:

Quote:
Pow Wow Shop
------------------------------------------------------
Order Number: 11
Detailed Invoice: http://www.powwows.com/shop/account_...hp?order_id=11
Date Ordered: Tuesday 04 February, 2003

The comments for your order are

Thanks for your order!

Your order has been updated to the following status.

New status: Shipped

Please reply to this email if you have any questions.
I want to change things like 'the comments for your order are' and 'your order has...'

Where are those pieces of text set?

You now doubt have fixed this by now, but I am in this spot in the code so I thought i'd post a reply. this text can be edited in admin/includes/languages/english/edit_orders.php

You probably searched the files for the text you wanted to change and thereby found what file it was in...

This is the standard osCommerce forum, so your advice is incorrect.

That file is not present in standard osCommerce, only in osCMAx.

Please note where you are posting by checking the breadcrumb trail at the top of this thread.

Default Order status Emails

I needed to change the order status emails as well. Im not sure if this is explained elsewhere so I will add it here in order to help anyone who might be searching around for a bit of help.

I am using oscMAX and in order to change the emails that are sent when the order status changes, I had to edit the file catalog/admin/includes/languages/english/orders.php

The actual email content is located towards the bottom of the file. I also found similar code in the

catalog/admin/includes/languages/english/edit_orders.php

but when I edited this section, the Email that was sent was still the same. This may be by design or it may be because of some other modification I have installed, but if changing one of those files doesn't work, changing the other will. In either case, backup backup backup !

good luck
