Syntax for adding images to categories\products

I am new to OSC and need some help with adding images...

I am in the admin console creating new categories, when I get to the portion that asks for the path of the image ex:

/oscommerce/images

I type the exact same thing just adding the name of the image to the end, I try to save it and it will not let me. I get no errors when this happens. But on the other hand if I type \oscommerce\images\blank.gif it will let me save but I still get a broken image.

Could someone please help. This is driving me up a wall. Thanks

Looking at this I see a browse button on my admin>catalog>add new category which allows me to browse my local computer for an image to upload. I dont think the option to point it to an image on the server works. Unless I'm missing something in the post, thats what it sounds like you are running into.
