Please help a guy out here

Okay I've got a problem and my search of this site and forum can't seem to solve what I thought would be fairly simple.

I need to charge shipping as follows:

in the USA, first item is $4, additional items are $1 more, with a max of $7
in Canada there's a flat rate of $6
Overseas there's a flat rate of $16

I've looked at the shipping section of the contibutions and non of them seem precisely suited and I can't be the only person who needs this.

I'd be willing to do this the hard way (whatever that might be) but I don't know where to begin.

Yes! We have exactly the same issue. I'm not sure how to solve this either. I am thinking of trying a rebate item for the 2 and so on order which would have a 0 cost and have a - shipping cost.

Unfortunately, I can't test this right now since my shipping charges are not currently working after attempting to install the shipping cost by product contribution (which should be useful). I'm in the process of trying to get to ms1.

Please let me know about your thoughts - this is important to the client.
