Product shipping costs

Boy was I off. I thought shipping charges would be simple. I'm in the process of installing the contribuition for shipping charges by product, but that is only going to get me part way.

Here are some of the items that the client wants. I'm not sure which ones could be added with reasonable modifications and which ones just are not feasible. Unfortunately, they all make business sense:

(1) Prints - use a cardboard tube. So client wants shipping to be 2.50 for 1 to 6 prints. Or as I'm looking at it shipping 2.50 for the first and 0 shipping for 2 to 6. Not a clue how to do this without selling the shipping carton separately, but customers would not remember to order.

(2) Tee Shirts - 4.00 for the first and 2.00 for each additional

(3) Small pins - 1.25 for upto 3 sets (similar to Prints above, but pricing different.

(4) Members only - client wants only visitors that have paid for a special membership to be able to purchase certain items, but everyone can view.

(5) Member discounts - If someone is a special member, there is a discount price for some items. Right now we are thinking a set %, but I'll bet it ends up being different for different items.

Any suggestions on the above. Can some already be done? Are there contributions that I have missed that help?

I am attempting to install Shipping Rates by Product which should help. I'll look through again and see if there is anything like Shipping Rates by Quantity by Product - that would be great.
