Payment completion problems

I have not made any major modifications to the payment system. We currently use Linkpoint connect for CC processing, accept Paypal, and money orders. We also utilize coupons and gift vouchers.

Here's my problem, I've had complaints from two customers now who get through the entire order process and when they get to the "Confirm" page and click Confirm, they get a message saying "Cannot order through store at this time".

Anyone know what may be causing this? I can't track down that particular message in any of my code.

Which payment method is causing the problem. That will narrow it down.

Finally tracked down the bugger... My client's merchant account is only set up for Visa and MC. In both cases, the customer was trying to use Amex cards, even though the payment option clearly says "Visa and MC only". I'm going to convince him to add Amex and Discover, as he's gonna lose sales.
