| Hello, Can someone please help me, Im trying to find out a way to add a pull down menu so when you are adding a new product you can just add the color by choosing it in the pull down menu, and then hopefully this will allow customers to search my site by color. Can someone please point me in the right directions. Thanks soo much. Mark |

| Do you mean - add an attribute to an item? Yes you can add a pull down option (or button list or nearly anything) to an item.... As for search by colour???? Not sure if this is what you want.....

| I want to be able to choose the color from a pull down when adding the product, and then I want to put a search by color pull down on the site. -- eventually the customer would be able to choose a manufacturer then choose a color. Or after he chooses a category he can then choose a color from a pull down at the top of the page, that is what I am looking for - Thank you, Mark |

| Mark Don't know if this suggestion will be any use to you, but here goes... If you were to create an additional product category (or sub-categories) based on the colours you have available, and copy the relevant products into these categories in admin, it would provide your customers with an alternative method of navigating to what they want. I've done something like this on a site, where a customer can choose by product name, or product scent. Without knowing what your products are I don't know if this suggestion will be what you're after, but maybe it'll be useful to someone. By the way, the setup I used was based on osCMax with the aabox template and dhtml menu option. Good luck |
