i'm wondering if there is a simple mod that will allow me to display all product descriptions/pictures/info etc. only within a certain, specific sub-category, and as the normal text links within the other categories/sub-categories.

for example, within the category "TREES" there are 3 sub-categories, "ELMS", "BIRCHES", and "OAKS." when the user clicks on "OAKS," the usual text links to the individual products appear. if the user clicks on "BIRCHES," the more text-only links show up. but in the event that there is only a single product within the sub-category "ELMS," i'd like the product information to be immediately displayed in full, bypassing the text link stage.

any ideas/help/commentary would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance!
