Where do I edit the Home Page

Can someone please tell me were I can edit the main home page. I know with the template structure it's not located in the index.php page. However, I have no idea where it's.

What specifically do you wish to edit?

osC can be fairly overwhelming to the newbie and while I've been playing for a few months its still a little daunting.

The page layout is defined in catalog/index.php

The actual page content is stored in catalog/includes/languages/(english)/index.php

Edit the index.php stored in the languages folder to change any of the text. If you wish to change the layout (boxes etc) then it depends where the box is as to what page you edit.
