Default Customizing the look of infoboxes & content boxes

Hi,

1. How can I put a specific image (bar)...for instance a bamboo stick to the left and right side of infoboxes

2. How can I put entire boxes inside another box...or inside a rectangular figure?

3. How can i move up the boxes so that the top most boxes of the 2 side columns are touching the navigation bar?

4. How do i move the left column's boxes to extreme left and the right column's boxes to extreme right?

If someone knows of a contribution or a thread which helps me to attain this or customize the look of boxes in any other way, do let me know kindly.

Regards,
|rf@N

you mean like this http://www.thecrabshackstore.com

most of what you want to do is by creating a new box.tpl.php file and editing the table and html in the box itself which can be found in /includes/boxes. Then of course a new stylesheet......

in that case, get ready to edit ALOT of pages. the tables in the boxes in /includes/boxes are where you want to start. with a virgin osc install they have the columns and rows heml there, you just need to work on that.

Of course, taking the code for those boxes out of the boxes themselves is where you can get super custom. create your own "area" on the page your editing, and move your code to your own created table cell in that page. then you can move the boxes out of column_right and liberate yourself, such as the case with this site, which we didnt use any boxes to do, http://www.quickchickracing.com

Default Trying...

I haven't understood completely how you work on these boxes. Anyways, I am trying to get it done. I used stylesheet to add an image to all the boxes. And it comes nicely. The only problem now is that the bar on the left side of left column's boxes have to be shifted to a bit rightwards and vice versa for the right side's boxes. I have played a bit with the cellpadding and extra <tr><td> but it didn't work.

Btw, I am using SEC 2.2. May be, I am getting extra problems due to that.
I have seen you at scriptlance too. A great site! Isn't it?

Default RE: Trying...

I had downloaded that version of SEC from client's hosting account and it was altered. A friend tried moving the boxes to my desired location at another SEC installation at his own PC and its working.
I am now downloading a fresh version of SEC. Its funny but its a truth...the client must have done something to files. Thats the only explanation I have.
