Default EP Probs

I uploaded a spreedsheet using EP Split file because my products went over 300.
It uploaded ok and saved them as Ep_Split1.txt and so on. It also seemed to have saved the whole file under the original file name which I was uploading.

Anyway when I went to Import from Temp Dir it gave the following error message:

Filename: temp/EP_Split1.txt

Warning: file(/home/virtual/site27/fst/var/www/html/oscommerce/temp/temp/EP_Split1.txt): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/virtual/site27/fst/var/www/html/oscommerce/admin/easypopulate.php on line 675

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/virtual/site27/fst/var/www/html/oscommerce/admin/easypopulate.php on line 680

Can someone explain what this means and make any suggestions as how to correct this problem.

Im still learning oscommerce so if this has been answered before pleasae direct me to the right place to get the answer.

Thanks for your time.

David

the method i use for split files is to split them manually in excel by making my excel files 400 products in length then starting a new one. So when i go to upload each file i upload them as if they were whole EP files. works for me.

your path concerns me as it should only have one /temp in it not two as you have. look on your server and make sure the file EP_split1.txt is actually at "/oscommerce/temp/temp/EP_split1.txt" If it is not, make sure to chmod 777 the "/oscommerce/temp/temp/ folder so that it can be written to by EP, this will likely get rid of your problems.

Hi Clifton
I have no troubles uploading the files, they all seem to appear in the temp folder:
I went to this folder this way:

Clicked on Tools, File Manager, Temp foleer and the files were here:

the wording above this file read:

/home/virtual/site27/fst/var/www/html/oscommerce//temp

Is this the right way its suppose to read?

you have an extra "/" in your config file somwhere but that should not affect you on a linux box.

when you made your plsits, you named them all incrementally right, i.e. file1, file2 and so on right?

Hi Clifton

Sorry, like I said Im still new to this, so I dont really understand what you are saying when you say plsits.

How would this extra "/" have been made?

and how would I rectify this?

Last night I managed to get some of my catalogs to work, then all of a sudden the others wouldnt come up.

I ended up removing what catalogues I had uploaded and tried again this time none would upload, well they did but wouldnt show up on my site under Catalog.

Oh by the way this regards to my other listing I have about Catagories. This is why i deleted the catalogs and tried again because for some reason oscommerce wasnt reading catagory 1 & 2, it seemed to only read from 3 onwards and the Products ended up in the wrong place.

So you see I dont just have 1 problem I think I may have a few.

Thanks for your advice, help and time

David
