Feature Products makeover??

Does anyone know how to make the Featured Products on the front page display the photo to the left side of the box with the long description next to it on the right side?

I am looking for a way to get more content on the main page like pulling the long description into the front page rather than just having the item name.

change the query to show the product descp. in catalog/includes/modules/new_products.php, change the html table structure to display the new info, and make you have backups before you edit anything

Hi thanks for the reply, Please excuse me for being such a newbie - I am so lost at how to do this. Here is a link to a site that shows what I am after: www.gokartsrus.com He has long descriptions for "Categories" I would like to do something similar with my "Featured Products" instead. Would your instructions above give that kind of results? If so could you give me more detail on how to change things?
