| Hey, I think it is pretty lousy that someone new to the forum cannot ask for help when it is a help forum. Why is this considered a COMMERCIAL POST, give me a break, I am not selling something. We are going to develop an OSCResource that dwarfs this dive AND let people post and do whatever they want (within legal reason) on the site. Geez |

| Well I think it is pretty lousy that someone new to the forum doesn't have the common courtesy to follow the long established posting rules of this community. Read the forum rules. The only thing lousy is that you make 2 posts, the first one violates the very first forum rule, the second one complains about your thread being locked becuase of it. See the big bold letters at the top of the forum? You know, the ones that say Please Read the Forum Rules Before Posting. They are not there for decoration. If you had bothered to read the rules you would have seen: Quote:

| Well I won't waste either of our time on this further, but will comment finally. I did read the rules first, check my logs. It's easy to treat someone new like they are a newbie - a common, but misplaced response by busy, unconcening moderators. I did NOT spam, did not do a commercial post and I think that that line of thinking is geared towards those who sell and make a profit from the post. You said to read this: Spam will not be tolerated in the forums. Spam is defined as any unsolicited commercial post or response to a post, any unsolicited PM commercial or otherwise. It is also considered spam to request commercial services, to give a recommendation of commercial services, or to solicit customers in any way. Posts of a commercial nature are not allowed in the forums and will be deleted. okay, i read it again and still do not think that I did anything wrong by posting a request for help in a help forum. Again, I POSTED A REQUEST FOR HELP IN A MOD HELP FORUM. Duh. As a owner of 11 messageboards, I understand Commercial posts well. You should revisit yours. Regards. Paul |

| You posted a question requesting paid help. That is unacceptable here. We do not allow any such posts. You are not allowed to request paid help and other members are not allowed to offer it. You can post a request for help, but not a request for paid help. I do not think the rule is hard to understand, and over 8000 other members do not seem to have a problem following it. You are welcome here, but as the rules state, make a commercial post (not by your definition, but by ours) and your post may be removed or edited without notice. You are free to re-post without the commercial request for work and there will be no problem. You are also free to go elsewhere for paid help, but please do not use this forum to hire out work. The rule stands and will not be changed.
