Default productsAny help appreciat_attributes csv import problem

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
I'm working on a couple of stores using oscommerce through a hosting company
One store is at( shirtshack.funkngroovin.com/store ) for example
I have a large number of products with a large number of options & attributes.
I've input everything using the csv import funtion within the admin panel but ran into couple of problems . After the initial import when I've tried to add products_attributes I get a time out error. This was resolved by breaking up the file & importing fewer attributes. Problem is that it doesn't want to add on to the existing database. It comes back with existing product_attribute 1d#'s 11 onward. It appears to me that it is trying to copy over existing records instead of appending the records. I've tried it every possible way possible without success. My host was good enough to import them for me but hasn't resolved the problem.
The other problem is with the products_attributes.php page
Because of the large number of product attributes the page goes into infinite load mode in order to process all the page numbers & there doesn't seem to be any sense to how the attributte id#''s are displayed which makes it near impossible to edit
Also because of the large size of the file the Database backup just doesn't work to serverside or download. I get an hourglass that disappears after about 10 seconds but no file is backed up.
Thanks again for any help at all

Rick
