Beth,

osCommerce 2.2 MS2 is the standard version of osCommerce. It does not have all the cool extra features. This site is dedicated to osCMax, a 'powered up' version of osCommerce that has all kinds of cool extras. The download that you got from the osCommerce site is the plain vanilla osCommerce.

The download of osCMax is available in our downloads section here.

Please note that this long thread could have been shortened substantially if you had posted in the osCommerce forum here instead of the osCMax forum. When you post in the osCMax forum, we assume you are running osCMAx. Of course, if you did not know the difference, no much you can do

You have 2 options: start over with osCMax or install Option Type Feature mod to your existing shop.

I am moving this thread to the correct forum as well.

Thanks Michael. I'm going to throw up now. I'm going to start over.
I'm sure you'll see me here again.
Sorry I took so much of your time on this.

Same thing happened to me. I put alot of time into OSC, but then found out about OSMax... I had to start over, but the results are well worth it. You'll love all the stuff that is integrated into max. It takes a little getting used to, but its great.

Good luck!

I am using OscMax 2 and I don't see an option type "text"? I thought this was already included? Is it not in this version? If that is the case?

Why would you put it in a version 1.7 only to remove it in version 2?

Option Type Feature was removed in version 2 because it was not compatible with the advanced inventory tracking features that were added to the v2.0 series, specifically the mod QT PRo, and there was no way to make it compatible without major re-coding.

You can always just grab a stock version of osCommerce and add in Option Type feature if you really need it that badly.
