Default Setting Template as Default

Hello everyone. I recently found th OSC-MAX Installation. I previously had an installation of OSCommerce on my website and never really did much to modify it. I know really nothing about php, html, mysql and some of the modifications seem a little confusing.

Last night I sat down and opened the stylesheet.css with dreamweaver and began to play around with the properties of the different elements. I got my template (copy of OSc template) looking the way I want it however, I have not been able to modify a couple of things.

1. In the products categories box, the category names will change to a light blue color when the mouse hovers over that box. Where do I change this?
Still need help.

2. At the bottom of the page, there are 2 boxes that are used for new products. I need to change the text color to white. Where can I find this?
Figured this out. These headings for New Products and Specials for (Month) are hyperlinks which are controlled in the stylesheet.css under A and A_hover.

3. I have saved my template as FSPB and made the adjustments to the common_top.bts.php and it loads correctly. However, if I leave that page and come back, it goes back to the aabox template. How can I set my template as the default and when I remove the common_top.bts.php file, will it stay as my default?
Fixed this. Changed in the Configuration panel under admin panel. Bottom of page. Default template set to my custom template folder. NOTE: Do not set template switching to false. Will not work.

4. I would like to make the link for my logo take the customer back to our home page. Where should this code be inserted?
Still need help.

5. Also, how do I get rid of the AAbox features list on the main page and get the catalog to show products instead?
Fixed this. Renamed mainpage.php to mainpage_removed.php under /catalog/includes/languages/English.

Here is a link to my site and to my store. www.fspaintball.com/catalog

I greatly appreciate anyone's help.

Thanks,
Chris B.

Default RE: Setting Template as Default

5. You don't have to change this filename. You can simply click on Define Mainpage in the admin and edit the contents of the main page using the wysiwyg editor. This way you can put your own content on the main page without having to hack any files.

4. This already does this, but it assumes that the home page of your site is the top level of the catalog. Just edit main_page.tpl.php and replace the link on the logo with your own.

1. This is the A:hover tag in stylesheet.css. You can reference what most everything is in the stylesheet here: http://oscdox.com/modules.php?op=mod...alogStylesheet

Feel free to add any info you want to that page
