Default 'Specials' maximum value?

Hi again,
Does anyone have any idea how to alter the maximum value of specials displayed? I've got the specials box in main default underneth the welcome text and although the box itself is fine I can't find the max value allowing the box to display more than one special at a time. I realise the specials box wasn't designed to house more than one product, I've had a good look around what I'd call the obvious code so I guess I'll check the dbase but if anyone could help I'd like it!
Cheers

Aha problem solved (or at least in the process of being)!
For the record, I created another file in 'boxes' named 'specialsmatt.php'.
I then called edited default so it displayed my new file instead of the 'new products for [month]'. I then ripped the guts of 'specials.php' (found in catalog) and threw them into my 'specialsmatt' file. Still working on getting it to look sweeter but the process works at least!
I'll do a proper writeup when it's finished if anyone wants it

There is a much easier way...

In the admin/my store/maximum values you will find the special products entry which has the value you want...

Yeah but those values are for 'specials.php' I'm after the maximum values for the specials box.
