Default Need Payment Processing Help

Hello,

Setting up a web site and have performed a test purchase. I have the Paypal and CC modules installed. I want to be able to accept credit cards (cc) and use Paypal to authorize and accept the payments. UPS will be the shipping method. In my test purchase nothing happens other than getting an e-mail confirming my purchase in my customer's e-mail address. Aside from that nothing else happens. How do I tie in Paypal for an actual purchase. I have a Paypal account established as a Merchant. I'm sure I have to modify some php file somewhere, but what? How do I make sure the business get's notification of the purchase (I think it is through Paypal...). Finally, how do I notify UPS after the purchase? Is it through OSC or a manual process after notification of the purchase has been made? I'm very new to this so please bear with me. Thanks.

Okay, since I'm getting no replys at all I'll rephrase the question...

How do you setup OCS to give you an e-mail notification when a purchase is made from your web site via the Credit Card option?

Default Turn on Admin E-Mails

Go to the Shopping Cart Control Panel. Go to the configuration section and then go to "My Store". Select "Send Extra Order Emails To" and enter the email that you want to receive orders.

Hope this helps.

More question: once you receive your email, (i assume) you'd acquire the payment information, i.e. cc#, exp. date, etc? How do you tie this in with paypal to authorize the info input by customer?

You use the Credit Card module to process payments through a merchant account. The PayPal TOS doesn't allow you to process credit cards. Use the PayPal module, and the customer gets sent to PayPal to make payment, with notification coming back to the site by PayPal's IPN protocol.
