Default Help needed with what is undoubtedly an easy problem

Ive installed my shop at www.signedstars.co.uk and all seemed to be going well, however my problem is with one of the links at the top of the page. To be exact - the link is TOP - next to CATALOG. When you click on TOP it directs to my servers default page and not back to the homepage of my shop.

Any ideas would be appreciated

my guess is that you could edit your configure file (the one you created on install).

seems that all your links point to host ip/~username/whatever.php

try editing it to your domain name:

define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://www.signedstars.co.uk'); // eg,http://localhost - should not be empty for productive servers

it will look better to paranoid customers (like me) who see a link to a strange address- i freak out and leave !

also you might find the osC contribution that describes how to remove the "top" from the breadcrumb altogether if your catalog index is the home page.

also think about setting up some https pages for encrypted info transfer.

by editing the configure.php file i have corrected the original proble - ie the link TOP

However if i use my domain name as suggested above no pictures show up despite the url being correct - if i copy and paste the url of the pic into internet explorer it shows up no problem. Through the store i cannot get a piture, icon or anything

fixed most of the problems - only problem ive got now is with my domain name.

If i edit configure.php to show the url of each picture as being www.signedstars.co.uk/images/IMAGENAME.jpg the image will not show. However the url is correct. if you type the url into internet explorer it happily show the image.

So as to show the images in the meantime ive put configure.php back to how it was - so the true url of each image is used.

any ideas?
