problems while installing oscommerce on local host

hi all,
i want to install oscommerce 2.2 ms 2 on my local host as i have to change the code n i can't take the risk of changing the live store code directly. i have installed it successfully on one pc. but when i try to install it on another pc everything is successful (database import, configuration etc) but when upon the successful completion of the installation when i click either the catalog or the admin button i this message:
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /catalog/install/://localhost/index.php on this server.

the operating system of both PCs is windows XP. hope dat someone would help me soon.

sounds like you need to set the proper user permissions for the folders you are trying to access.

Are you using a limited account with windows xp?

i didn't have a limited account.
i just reinstalled my windows. n everything is fine by now.
