Default Thumbnail Resize Mod

I am new to oscommerce. I've been looking around for a mod that maintains a thumbnail images height to width ratio instead of stretching it to a perfect square. I have heard about ImageMagick, but it isn't currently installed on my server. Is this what I am looking for?

Thanks,
Tyler

have you tried setting one of the images width or height settings and leaving the other blank?

For example, set the images width to say 150 and leave the height blank (not zero but blank)

This is what I do on my site www.fridgemags.com and it works pretty well.

Yes this method works great, only one problem. You have to batch process ALL your images to either the same width or the same hieght, unless you do they get stratched one way or another anyway!

We are working on an automatic thumbnailer for OSC-MAX at the moment. We had done this for a client's store as a custom module, but i think were going to release it anyway.

Keep an eye pealed for it at our website, listed below, just click the www icon.
