Allowing customers to purchase Guft Vouchers of any size

Hi,

I would like to let customers purchase gift vouchers from the web site, there doesn't need to be redeem codes or anything, just a straightforward product with a text box to specify the amount of the voucher, and then we post out the voucher, it is for services from the shop, not actual online products.

I have spent hours pouring over the forums and contribs, I can't find a way of letting a customer specify the amount for the product.

Any help would be much appreciated
