Default Linkpoint Curl Error

Hello,

I'm getting a linkpoint curl error, i just installed a oscommerce and everything is functional except for the linkpoint payment. I am able to retrieve UPS rates, so i believe this means curl is functional...

versions:
php 4.3.8
libcurl/7.10.4 zlib/1.1.4 (curl version?)

I get an error in the URL when i try and finish an order then the cart sends me back to the page where i enter my credit card information.
This error doesnt show up on the page but that might just be a setting i modified previously to omit error messages...

this is the url:

/catalog/checkout_payment.php?error_message=There+has+been+ an+error+processing+your+credit+card%2C+please+try +again+:%20Could%20not%20execute%20curl&osCsid =b895d11de0ab2d3959be50d6fe3f46e0

I was looking around online to try and find answers but i couldnt find anything but replies from the developer of the module offering help... no actual answers. I tried cpntacting him but i'd like to post it where others can also get the answers when searching google... since i couldnt find any.

Mike

the directory should be /usr/bin/curl, i confirmed it previously with my webhost but i guess i should check again... i can retrieve UPS rates, doesnt that also require curl for functionality also?

made sure and it is /usr/bin/curl, which i believe is the default directory

your path is correct the problem is that your curl is compiled into php but it IS NOT compiled with modSSL or openSSL support. If you need help let me know, i wrote that module.

your post says you tried contacting me, but i dont think i got an email from you or a phone call. The reason i have people contact me is that there are roughly 4987946209 reasons why curl could be a problem for you. answering them all would be an excercise in futility.

I have answered this question many times on this forum or other reasons why it might not work. do a search for clifton murphy on here and you'll come up with some..
