Modifying How Products are Displayed

I am using osC 2.2 and would like to display more than one product per row. I've gotten fairly adept at doing minor hacks to get the pages looking the way I want them to look (I don't speak PHP) but can't figure out where to make this change. What file needs modification?

Or would it be easier to use BTS?
