T-Shirts with differant options and inventory control.

Can osCommerce be used for items such as t-shirts? Same item say in black, sizes ranging from S-XXL, and have it control the inventory level for each size and color without listing them all individually?

I have played with it before asking this question. I can add the options for color and size, no problem using drop downs. But it bunches them all together as one item. If I break them down to say, BLACK-SMALL, short or long sleeve, I end with a cart page that goes on forever for the same item just the differant options being listed as seporate items.

Again, can it be done to use it to control the inventory levels, like items, differant options so it comes out clean, easy to nderstand and use for the end user?
