Default Skipping Shipping for individual items

Hi there,

I'm just familiarizing myself with OSCommerce, and I've got a question with regards to skipping the shipping componant of the checkout based on the item(s) being purchased.

One of the products on the site I'm developing is to make an online reservation. This obviously will not have any shipping associated with it. The site will also be selling shirts, etc, that will require shipping.

My question is: Is there some way that OSCommerce will know that if a user only purchases an online reservation, the shipping step in the checkout will be skipped, but for all other transactions, it will go through the step?

Thanks in advance.
Chris

Normally: 0 weight = no shipping - skip module. If you sell anything with a WIEGHT then the shipping charge module will be activated. If you have mixed items then it will come up with shipping method and calculate only on the total WEIGHT....However if you don't use a wieght calculation it MIGHT want to on the total units/price or how that module does it calculations.....

Good Luck!

Hi JPF, thanks for the reply,

I've tried putting in 0 weight, as I've read in previous posts, but it doesn't seem to work. Where would I go to find out if the shipping is based on weight or units?

Thanks again
