    Hi

Yes I know that is what I should do but I cannot contact the developer/original owner. I have tried to, but to no avail. And unfortunately there are quite a few sites that already use this so I'm just unsure how to proceed from this point.

I'd dearly like someone knowledgeable to look it over and let me know what options we could consider.

    Thanks
    Warwick

PM me with the url to catalog/admin and the login to the admin. It is usually easier to determine the version via the admin panel feature set.

I took a quick look through the fileset and I would say it is based off of initial release osCmax v2.0 stable (the first stable release of the 2.0 series). This is pre 2.0.25 and 2.0.15 and just after the 2.0 RC3 release.

Although, it is heavily modified so you have a lot of work on your hands if you want to upgrade.

My other suggestion is to get access to the original source code on the application_top.php files by contacting the creator of those files or crack the ioncube encoding on those files if you are now the owner of the source code (google it, not to difficult to do). You really need full access to your sourcecode if you want any chance of a smooth upgrade process. Not to mention you need to know exactly what your source code is doing (good, bad, ugly, scary...).

    Hi

Thanks very much for that. But hmm, not good eh?

I really appreciate what you've done. The way forward is still unclear though I suppose

Hey while I have you there, one of the customers needed the new (compulsory any day now apparently) shipping for USPS. Has osCMax brought out an updated module for the new rules for USPS, do you know Michael?

    Thanks very much again.
    Cheers

    Hi again Michael

The update you posted about here:
    USPS Methods

Do you think that will work with my system?

If so, could I employ you or someone there to do the upgrade please?

    Thanks
    Warwick
