Default Sort Attributes under Categories

Hello,

I'm looking for a contribution or modification for sorting attributes in the product info page by categories. Like this site does:

http://www.emailers.it/product_info....mp;language=en

See how under Available Options the attributes are grouped under category headings: Culture, Home, Money, etc.

I've tried searching for information on how to do this, but I keep coming up empty. Anyone have an idea how this could be accomplished?

Thanks in advance.

Product Attributes Sort Order v.1.11
http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,1822

This mod adds a sort_order field to the product_atributes table and to the products_attributes.php, and product_info.php pages to allow user ordering of these attributes.

New Attribute Manager v4b
http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,1119
With Linda's
Attributes Sorter and Copier v5.0
http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,772
includes an Attributes Sort feature via the products_attributes.php

Two ways to go - Good Luck!

Default Multiple attributes grouped under one heading

Thank you for your quick response.

I was looking at the contributions you mention, but I think they are more for the sort order of a particular attribute; what order they appear within a pulldown menu, for instance.

What I was asking about was if attributes could be grouped under headings like this:

Software: (heading)
- Windows 98 (an attribute)
- Windows XP (an attribute)

Peripherals: (heading)
- Mouse (an attribute)
- Keyboard (an attribute)

The idea being that you can have multiple pulldown menus for attributes categorized under one heading.

Here's another example:
http://www.alienware.com/Configurato...SKU-ENTHUSIAST

Under Core Components, see how Warranty, Chassis, etc. are headings for containing attribute selections.

I hope that makes sense.

Anyway, thanks again, if you or anyone has any ideas.

I am sure one of the mention should be able to do what you want. Changing the look of how attribute is display should get you what you want.

You have to think more like:

Software: (an attribute)
- Windows 98 (the option)
- Windows XP (the option)
- none (default option?)

Peripherals: (an attribute)
- Keyboard & Mouse (default option)
- Mouse only (the option)
- Keyboard only (the option)

etc...

Good Luck

Also - are you setting up a site that is computer related? Or a build/assemble and item to suite...(like custom jewellery or such) then maybe you should look at Custom Computer Creator for OSC.....

Default Thank you

Yes, it is indeed for a Computer related site.

Custom Computer Creator seems to solve more problems then what I was even originally asking about. Thanks so much. Can't believe I missed it.

- Take care
