How to change order status (pending,processing,delivered)

Howdy, I run a small site and I normally go through the process of updating the order status as orders are processed and I have have the most confusing time with the status of 'delivered'. I normally update it to delivered once I have shipped the product but it causes confusion with the customer as they think it has been 'delivered' to them. I'd like to modify this and change delivered to shipped or just even add shipped as an option.

I couldn't really find anywhere that one can 'add' this on. I'm assuming I can do it in phpmyadmin but I'd rather ask here before I make any bold moves.

Hi,

In order to add, delete or revise the order status in admin, you will need to change the database. Using something like phpMyAdmin, you can log into your mySQL db, click on the "orders_status" table, then choose the "browse" option. You will see the existing selections and then you can make your changes. It's a piece of cake.
