Default Wow, definitely need to change the timeout in Admin.

I just spent 15 minutes typing in the shipping info box. When I hit save, it went back to the login, and deleted everything that I had just written. Not happy right now.

According to a previous post that has since been locked, the sessions.php file is the best way to change timeouts. But, I don't know where that file is because there is no explanation in the thread about the location of the file. When I tried to change the php.ini file, it didn't have the same info in there that the post referred to.

A lot of the posts on this forum don't have the breadcrumb so people like me can find out how to fix stuff without asking new questions. Asking my first questions made many other people on here very angry because I didn't want to go through 7 years worth of posts to find a partial answer, or no answer. This is what I was referring to when I made my first post about not having the time to scan the whole site for answers because they don't even match the version of osCMax that I have (2.0.25). I and surely got it handed to me for something that it appears I was, at least, a little right about.

So far in the Wiki, the 2 things that I have found in there that would have helped me were both blank inside after clicking on the title to those sections.

    That is a fantastic reply!!

For anyone interested in this same problem, the solution is to go into catalog/includes/functions/sessions.php and change the 1440 to 3600, or what ever you would like. This 3600 will give you an hour before your admin times out on you.
