Account Customers Only

I have a warehousing client who wishes to have a payment module which allows customers to be marked as "account customers" and are able to buy using their existing account with the company. Ideally, their oscmax account can be marked as such and only these customers will have the option to "buy using account"

This cart is a "members" only setup and all customers are entered through the admin panel (the normal "sign up" module has been disabled and a casual browser only gets a "logon" screen with no option to add an account or view without an account). We have setup a National Australia Bank payment module and enabled COD. I can easily modify a module to give an option to "pay by account" but to then check that these are actually account customers (some are not) is a little more tricky. Before I start rewriting the wheel, I thought to ask if something like this is already available.

My main problem is that searching for "account customers" or anything with accounts in the field, brings up a whole slew of info about the inbuilt customer account setup module.

So you're asking about a mod for 'Max in the osC section - why?
Have you looked into creating Customer Groups? Normally used for retail & wholesale but could be adapted for this. Then a query to check for Group would determine a course of action.
