Tax Added to shipping?

I do i not have tax added to the shipping cost.. it seems that there is tax added to my shipping but doesn't show... so the overall total is incorrect...

Hi,

If you want to turn off adding tax to the total that would be in catalog/includes/application_top under the define section.

yea.. hmm i did that also.. but it appears that is not the problem.. um...

maybe something with the database? im not sure..

any ideas?

the subtotal is always correct and tax.. but the total doesn't come out right...

so i tried using the latest snapshot just to see and it the same problem...
also i get this error on the new snapshot when i click continue at "payment information"

I don't know what the problem might be. It is off by .97 cents.

Maybe it's the way the tax and/or shipping works.

yay.. i figure out the problem.. it had to do with one of the mods i installed where i ran into sql problem installing it.. it was for Latest News mod... all is well now.. :P

This is an important thing to note and a valuable lesson to learn:

If you have added a contribution or mod to your installation, and things are behaving weirdly afterwards, the first thing to do is revert back to original state to see if the mod is causing the weirdness. I cannot tell you how many times I have spent hours corresponding with someone who neglected to tell me the cart stopped working right AFTER they hacked in a contribution! That is the MOST important thing to tell...

Anyway, glad you figured it out.
